WHAT IS CREAT-A-THON??
This is the fourth year of our nationwide hardware hackathon for college students which aims at bringing out the innovative skills of students by asking them to implement solutions to real life problems in 30 hours. The teams will be mentored and judged by industry experts providing an ideal platform for students to validate and test their innovations along with a chance to win cash prizes.

Posspole Porposed Problem Statements
- Design a Wearable Device for Hazardous Gas Detection: Create a wearable that detects hazardous gases and alerts users via an intuitive interface.
- Affordable Emergency Healthcare System for National Highways: Develop a scalable emergency healthcare system for rapid deployment on national highways, enhancing accident response capabilities.
- Wearable ECG Badges to Monitor Heart Activity: Engineer badges that monitor heart activity continuously, providing real-time data and alerts for individuals at risk.
- Develop a Water Bottle Capable of Adjusting Water Temperature: Innovate a water bottle that allows temperature adjustments between 10°C and 50°C, suitable for various user preferences and environmental conditions.
- System to Reduce Pollution and Enhance Night Sky Visibility: Design a system to decrease pollution levels and improve night sky visibility for astronomy enthusiasts within designated areas.
Terms of Collaboration:
- It is crucial to note that all solutions developed for these problem statements are required to enter into an exclusive development agreement with Possopole. Participants will collaborate with Posspole for further product development and will share intellectual property rights with our company. This partnership will ensure that successful innovations are developed to their full potential and aligned with industry standards

ELIGIBILITY
The Creatathon is open to all individuals currently enrolled in any Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in India
TEAM SIZE
- The team should consist of at least 4 and a maximum of 6 members.
- An eligible Individual may join only one Team.
- The team leader should represent, act, and enter a Submission, on the behalf of their team.
- IEEE Members get a discount on the registration fee.
GENERAL RULES
- Every team must register only once.
- Teams with different team-names but same team-members will be disqualified.
- Teams are not allowed to bring their final prototype/model on the day of the Creat-A-Thon. The shortlisted participants need to build it on the spot on the day of the event in the stipulated time.
- Basic facilities like internet,electricity,snacks and working space will be provided.
- The responsibility of the components and the materials required for developing the prototype during the Creat-A-Thon lies solely on the participating teams.
- Travelling & Lodging must be taken care of by the participants.
- Meals will be provided.
abstract submission
- All the teams are requested to submit their ideas in the form of an abstract on or before Feb 28th, 2025 using the link provided on the website.
- The abstract submission will have to strictly follow the format provided.
- Teams are requested to submit their ideas based on the categories mentioned.
- All materials submitted in connection with the Creat-a-thon must be in English.
- Each team to create a login in Digikey
- Create a list of components needed for your project in the digikey mylist.
- Create a shareable link of mylist components in dgikey.
- The shareable link has to be submitted as part of the submission.
- Digikey will decide the final list of components that will be provided as part of the project proposed.

11. Each team will be provided with components worth Rs 4000 by Digikey.
12. Participants can get additional components if required.
13. All submissions should have the Digikey mylist,without Digikey list the submissions will not be accepted
14 . It will be mandatory to use the Digikey components in the final prototype

- Bonus points for best poster creation.
- The top 20 percentile teams or a maximum of 20 teams (whichever is higher) will be shortlisted for the final round which will be held at Dayananda Sagar College Of Engineering, Bangalore.
- The shortlisted teams will be required to build their proposed prototype on the spot during the final event.
JUDGING
- The teams will be judged on their effectiveness of work during the event.
